The Rev. Lawrence T. Starr became the pastor at Green Street Baptist in November of 1984. A native of Malden, Pastor Starr attended Ottawa University in Ottawa, KS where he matriculated with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. He then attended Andover Newton Theological School where he earned a Masters of Divinity Degree in 1976. Pastor Starr served as Pastor of the White Street Baptist Church in East Boston, as the Associate Minister at First Baptist in Melrose, as an Interim Minister at the First Baptist Church in Beverly, MA. before beginning his long tenure at Green Street. He has provided leadership in many denominational and civic organizations during his 30 years of ministry.
